About the event

Join Aiste from Vita de Lux and Rachel from Yoga with Rachel for a 3-hour Yin Yoga & Sound Bath Workshop.

We will focus on cultivating a deep release to the body and making space in the heart and mind for acceptance, healing, and self-love.

While Rachel will guide you through a sequence of Yin poses, Aiste will support your journey with the sound of the gong and other archaic instruments. There will be 90 minutes of Yin Yoga-Gong Bath with a long final meditation in savasana, where you will be guided into a deep contact with yourself through the sound therapy session. 

After the Yin Yoga-Sound Bath session, we will have a small break with snacks and return for a workshop about self-acceptance and love. This mini-workshop will be guided by psychologist Aiste Venskune with the “Points of You” coaching cards. We will look into beliefs, thoughts towards self-acceptance and self-love. At the end, we will have time to integrate what we discovered and experienced.

About Techniques: Yin Yoga is a seated practice involving a sequence of poses typically held for 3-5 minutes.The intention is to help loosen connective tissue around the muscles and joints to relieve tension, improve posture, and reduce pain, especially in the areas of the neck/shoulders, spine, and hips. Combining these poses and movements with breathwork also helps to reduce stress and anxiety.

Gong and Sound Bath is a form of sound therapy. You are “diving” into the sound waves and it feels like the sounds are washing over your body. During the session people lay down on yoga mats with their eyes closed and a sound therapist is playing with different healing instruments that help calm the mind and relax the body. It is a wonderful tool to relieve stress, reduce pain, and calm the mind. Also to connect with yourself, release stuck emotions, feelings from the emotional body.

We are looking forward to combining these two wellness practices to guide you through an inner journey.
